Neighbors from Florencio Varela gathered in the square of the Bosques locality in response to the murders of Paloma Gallardo, 16, and Josué Salvatierra, 14. Residents demanded greater security and justice for the young people who lost their lives in this tragic event.
"Before you leave your house, you have to say goodbye because you don't know if you're going to come back, if here they kill you for a sneaker," expressed one of those present. Paloma's family plans to hold a march from the Bosques station to the municipality, covering a distance of 5 kilometers. The mother of nine children emphasized: "This event hit me hard, I have nine children and this situation hurts me."
Amid the shock, the neighbors raised questions about safety in the area. One neighbor asked: "Where is the security? How can we not feel the pain of the innocence of two kids who died young?" The voices of the community unite to request concrete actions from local authorities.
Paloma's family's mobilization is scheduled to bid farewell to the young woman this Tuesday, while her close circle prepares to honor her memory. During the protest, a disturbing revelation surfaced: "It is said that the killer was at the march with us yesterday," some witnesses mentioned.
The residents of Florencio Varela demand greater security in the neighborhood and call on the mayor to take the appropriate responsibility. "They should take charge, no one is taking charge of anything," claimed another neighbor. The community is mobilizing in search of answers and preventive actions to guarantee the protection of all the residents in the area.
